How to mount additional volume to Ubuntu on Digital Ocean

After you’ve been hosting for awhile, you might find that the paltry 25gb Digital ocean gives you is insufficient and you start running into out of space errors. In order to remedy this you might think that getting a volume from Digital Ocean will solve your problems. However it isn’t as simple as just pressing add volume and going on with your day. A mounted volume isn’t the same as extending your main storage space, you can only offload certain things like your databases easily.

So we think maybe we can just save some space by offloading the mysql for all our sites.
